BRIC is pleased to announce the updated lineup for its special screening of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning documentary PARIS IS BURNINGThe event will feature an introduction by director Jennie Livingston and by Junior LaBeija and Dr. Sol Williams Pendavis, both of whom are featured in the film. Before the screening, fellow Paris Is Burning cast members Grandfather Hector Xtravaganza and Jose Disla Xtravaganza present The Houses United Ball: Celebrating Brooklyn, which will feature members of the Houses of LaBeija, Ninja, Mizrahi, Khan, Infinity, Milan, Princess and Xtravaganza. Vjuan Allurewill DJ before and during the ball.

The Bicycle Film Festival is a celebration of bicycles through films, art and music. Presented by Brendt Barbur and friends and dedicated to the loving memory of his mother Toneta.

Get your beauty sleep Friday and be ready some SATUR DAZE fun! We’ll meet up near Columbus Circle for a bit of social time before we pedal our way to Grand Army Plaza where will pick up our Brooklyn reinforcements. Next we will make our way out to Coney Island for the Mermaid Parade. Around 3PM we will jump back on the bikes and pedal the remaining 6 miles to Riis Beach.

 
Saturday and Sunday - 7:30pm | Bike Valet is free for patrons, tickets are $49+
 
 
BAM and Barclays Center present Contemporary Color, a performance event created by music icon David Byrne coming to Barclays Center on June 27 & 28. Contemporary Color will feature ten color guard teams from the US and Canada that will perform alongside an extraordinary array of musical talent including David Byrne, Nelly Furtado, How To Dress Well, Devonté Hynes, Zola Jesus, Lucius, Nico Muhly + Ira Glass, Money Mark + Ad-Rock, St. Vincent, and tUnE-yArDs.

Every Sunday morning we ride up the West Side, over the GWB, and into Jersey...where the fun hills begin!

As the summer progresses, we'll be increasing our distance, working towards two goals: the NYC Century for Vision Zero on September 13th, and Bear Mountain (date TBD).
